YARD YAHTZEE and YARD DOMINOS

When I saw giant versions of our favorite yard games on Pinterest, I knew I wanted to try making my own.
I decided to make Dominoes and Yahtzee.
For the dominos, I went to Home Depot, and had them cut 1x4's into 7 inch pieces for me. I followed this tutorial. After staining the wood, I just used the top of a water bottle to paint the dots on. It was very easy, just time consuming.
It is a hit with the kids, especially the four year old, who is so proud of himself when he matches up the right number of dots on each tile!
The large dice were just as easy to make. I used the same tutorial from above as a reference. I used a scrap piece of 4x4 from Home Depot (so it only cost a few dollars) and had them cut it into squares for me. I actually used a baby carrot cut in half to paint the dots on the dice, because I needed a smaller circle than the water bottle lid I used on the dominos.
I painted all the sides except the bottom in one sitting.
The girls had fun with these as well, and played their own version of a dice game.
These were not hard to make, and I'm excited to use them for family parties and other gatherings.
 Thanks for stopping by.
Have a Happy and Creative Day!
