This Gift is Beary Cheesy...

This is what I came up with for the kids teacher appreciation gifts this year. I know it is cheesy, but the kids will like giving it to their teachers. I thought they turned out cute.

One of my favorite friends, Kristen, introduced me to chocolate dipped cinnamon bears. I was sold with the first bite! I figured I could probably make my own...
I dipped over 100 cinnamon bears in chocolate today. It didn't take as long as I thought it would. I ran out of chocolate, and did the last few in almond bark. They were not bad, but I still think the chocolate is better.

It really took a while for the chocolate to set {hours}, compared to the almond bark. You can see the ones that are set up below.

I found this DARLING fabric today. I had to buy 2 yards. I didn't even know what I was going to use it for at the time. I think I want to project and trace it onto a canvas I love it so much. I love the colors and the birdies!

Used it to put over the jar lid.

Homemade chili sauce jars are the perfect size for this. We have lots of them lying around, because I use it when I make crock pot meatballs. I guess that recipe is a post for another day.

I thought they turned out cute. I even cut out little fabric shapes, and glued them on the card. I poked a hole in the card with a tack, and hung them with a large colorful paper clip. I can't find my hole punch...

This is what the card said... {I don't know if I should admit!}

I can "BEAR"ly believe
This Year has come to an end.

Thanks for "BEAR"ing with me.

I will miss you so much, I can hardly "BEAR" it.

I am so lucky to have a teacher like you.

You will always hold a special place in my heart!

"BEAR" well,

{Name}

We also made one for my son's cute t-ball coach. She is one of my good friends. I still don't know what to do for the male coaches. Somehow I don't think any of them would fully appreciate this :)

Please leave a comment. I love hearing from you!

i think it was a 'happy accident' that you can't find your hole punch - the paper clips are cute, unique and unexpected.

Darling Ris! Chocolate Cinnamon Bears are the BEST! Never thought to make them myself.
I think the Guy Coaches would like them too. Maybe instead of the fabric, just find some cute sports scrapbook paper and cut it round and put on top. Tie a ribbon with sports balls on it. If you don't think they'd like the cinnamon bears, you could always do sunflower seeds or corn nuts or something.
Let us know what you come up with.

So cute!!! I love that fabric (I have a fabric addiction that I am currently trying to cure). I totally spaced teacher gifts until it was too late. Oh well. But I will have to keep this in mind for next year.

OK THAT is a really cute idea. It doesn't sound like it would taste good, but I'm going to take your word for it. I don;t need teacher gifts, but it would be great as thank you or if a friend is having a bad day...just a love gift. Thanks for the idea! Lisa~
