Haunted Houses

These are a staple at our house around Halloween, and I have a fantastic tip for you, that makes it super easy, and 100% edible!

Start with cheap crackers,

that you don't have to break.

This is my tip... just melt regular sugar, over medium heat, like this:

Dip your crackers in, and the hot sugar works like glue! No more hot gluing crackers to disgusting milk cartons.
 Fast, Easy, and Fun!

Make in advance for parties and family nights. We do the same thing at Christmastime.

Have a Happy and Creative Day!

Love the sugar tip! Rick's family does candy trains or sometimes gingerbread houses at Christmas time... i think we should make little gingerbread houses with this idea this year! thanks for sharing :)

Brilliant! I tried it today with a bunch of kids. I've done a million graham cracker gingerbread houses and they never stick. Not with glue. Not with frosting. This works! And the houses don't fall apart. We had lots of Halloween fun. Now, how do I get the stuck on caramel out of my pot? Seriously, ideas?

Sorry I am late getting back to you. Just soak it in water overnight. Comes right out. Glad it worked! I will never go back to frosting!
