I was recently called as the Stake Girls Camp Assistant Director. The Director is fabulous, talented, amazing... the list could go on and on. She is also SUPER ORGANIZED. She had much of it already planned by the time I was called, so I thought I could help at least, by making the meeting cute ;) The kick-off meeting for the leaders was tonight, and this is how it looked. This is the refreshment table. I decided yesterday, to make a sleeping bag banner (barbie sized), using leftover fabric from my own stash, and some my sister-in-law gave me... Thanks Joe - loves to you :)
Here is a close up of a few of the sleeping bags. My daughter kept asking what time the meeting would be over, so she could play with them.
The little bunting was based on the scripture theme, and reads SHINE. Lisa just happened to have five containers of wheat grass... of course she did. You are amazing Lisa!
I was thinking I needed to make a tent, and had a very hard time finding one online. I took my inspiration from HERE. Also, do you see the runner under the tray? I made it last year for my babies blessing day luncheon. You can see the luncheon HERE. I think I forgot to take pictures of the runner before.
Remember my GNOME PARTY? Well, I used the tray, lantern, and dollar store moss rocks to go around the tent and table.
I stitched folders for everyone by folding OLD scrapbook paper in half, and zigzagging up the sides with the sewing machine. I even added a ribbon loop on one side to hold a pen.
It was a FUN NIGHT, and I am so excited for girls camp. It has been almost 20 years. Am I really that old???
Oh, and here is a shot of the favor that was on each seat. I forgot to get a photo of it tonight. This is on my counter top shortly after I finished them. I just printed the subway art black and white in a wallet size, and glued it and a candle on to a piece of yellow paper I already had.
Up next, I will be showing the preparation and party for my daughter's 10th birthday. Be sure and come back. You won't want to miss it! It was and Indian / Bollywood theme, and oh so much fun!
Have a Happy and Creative Day!

Awesome! You seriously should run a styling business.
I wanna be 12 again!! :)
These are great ideas! Adorable. I'm forwarding them on to my mom who is camp director for her ward.
LOVE the scripture art!! Is there a file that I could download with your subway art? I am tech challenged and I can't figure out how to make my own! Thank you!!
Thanks for sharing Risa! Can I use this for our youth retreat in school?
