Thanksgiving Printable

November is the month of thankfulness, and I have had this song in my head for a few days now. So... I decided to make a printable to share. I plan to print and frame it, and keep it up all month. I thought you might like to do the same, so all you need to do, is click on the image below, save it to your computer, and print! I created this in pic monkey, using a tutorial found HERE.

This is an 8x10.

This is 5x7.

This is 4x6.

Thank you for stopping by.

November Home Lunch Bags and Printables

Last month, I sat down and wrote my kids names on their lunch bags for the whole month in advance. It took about 20 minutes. You can see it here. It was a hit! I did the same this month for Thanksgiving, and I thought they turned out darling!!!

Each day, they also get a Thanksgiving joke in their lunch bag that I have printed, cut out, and stacked in my pantry in advance.

If you want to find the jokes I use, check out my Thanksgiving Pinterest board.

I hope you are having a nice November. I have a few fun things I will be sharing in the next few days. I will also be on Studio 5 this Friday at 11. I hope you'll tune in!

Thanksgiving in my Formal Dining Room! 2012 Edition

This year, I decided to add blue to my Thanksgiving formal dining room table setting, and
I AM LOVING THE RESULT!
I think Thanksgiving is a beautiful holiday for which to decorate, and I try not to ever skip it. We pull out the Christmas decor the day after Thanksgiving, and I am happy to get the threeish weeks we get with Thanksgiving.

The blue still totally feels like fall, but matches my house even better! I love to layer, layer, layer when it comes to setting a show table. You see a charger, dinner plate, salad plate, roll plate and napkin in holder all in one place, in addition to a candle cup and goblet. I don't set silverware out, because my baby likes to take off with things. But if I did, I would use the beautiful gold set I have.

I added this lovely garland to my $5 thrift store light fixture, and hung all my Thanksgiving charms from it. I love the addition of the blue ribbon to tie in with the blue below!

Notice the turkey, platter and pumpkins on top of my curio? I love the simple touches that still make it feel like fall.

You can see what I have done in previous years on my formal dining table for Thanksgiving HERE.

Thanksgiving Kids Table

Last year I hosted Thanksgiving at my house for the first time. I didn't have enough room to put the kids at the grown-up table, and I wanted them to still feel special, and I made their table extra colorful and festive!

I used place mats I already had, and just cut a square of orange burlap to punch up the color, and go under the salad plate.

I used the same turkey napkin holders as I had on the adult table, but made kiddish napkins for them to use. I also made the tablecloth. I got all the fabric at Hobby Lobby, as well as the pumpkins on each plate, and the centerpiece.

The kids loved it, and I think they felt special!

This is what I plan to do this year for the centerpiece... I got the idea from One Charming Party. She has great ideas. You should pay her blog a visit!

These darling corn cobs are so fun, and unexpected! I can't wait to get together with my crafty girlfriends and make them!

I plan to use the same linens and dishes this year as I did last year, but I want to make the darling turkey for the center piece, and corn for each child.

Thanksgiving Table

I admit it...

Yes, I love dishes.
Yes, I love linens.
Yes, I love having a formal dining room.

If you are very familiar with my blog, you know I love decorating my formal dining room for the holidays, and I especially love Thanksgiving. This is my formal dining table which stays up through the month of November.

I LOVE my turkey napkin holders!

These napkin holders are from Robert's. I got them last year.

The goblets are from Honk's Dollar Store.

My nice thoughtful husband got me the set of dishes and silverware. I have service for 24, and I love to use them whenever I get a chance.
