Watch out... this watch is super CUTE, INEXPENSIVE and EASY !!!

So, yesterday I was getting ready, and wishing I had a watch to match my outfit. I looked at my beaded watch band, and didn't feel like wearing it. So, I decided to make this. Besides the watch face, I don't even think it cost a whole dollar to make!

I have a few more of these in the works, and will post them as soon as I get them made. So, go to your fabric and ribbon scraps, and see what you have... the possibilities are endless!

(You could put a button or jewel over the stitching, but I didn't.)

Supply list:

1) Fabric (Use something that your watch will have a hard time sliding on.)
2)Liner fabric (If necessary - I used felt to go under the burlap.)
3) Ribbon
4) Snaps
5) Needle and tread
6) Interchangable watch face

Directions:

1) Cut watch band base (and liner) to the desired length and width. I wanted mine to overlap on the bottom.
2) Cut ribbon to desired length. Leave enough to be able to fold it under at the ends.
3)Measure where you want your snaps to go, so it fits snugly over the band base.
4) Sew on snaps. Make sure they are not too thick, so your watch band will slide over them.
5) Sew on snaps, slide on watch face, and put on your wrist!

Super easy, super fast, super cute!!!

I am working on a few more, one combination is gray felt with cream lace. I will post pics when I have finished.

If you don't want to sew, and have someone to help you put your watch on, you could always leave the ribbon extra long, and have someone tie it for you at the bottom. It is just too cute!
